'Lakeview Jackaroo', sold for a new breed record of £18,000, at Kelso.
Gary Beacom, from the Lakeview Flock at ,Fivemiletown had a good journey to the Kelso ram sales in Scotland last week.
He took a pen of 11 Beltex shearling rams to the sales.
In addition, at the presale Gary took the Beltex championship with ‘Lakeview Jackaroo’, and sold him at the Friday sales for a new breed record at Kelso, of £18,000.
He sold to mother and daughter team Anne and Rachel Storey, from Carlisle.
It was a record-breaking year for sheep breeders at Kelso with overall averages well up on the year.
