A special visitor recently visited Willowbridge School to bring the spirit of the 2024 Paris Olympics to Fermanagh once again.
Team GB Rower Rebecca Edwards from Aughnacloy visited Willowbridge School as part of the 'Path to Paris' programme.
The 'Path to Paris' programme for schools, families and local communities is designed to help children and their families to get active together, try new things and most importantly: have fun.
The programme is about team spirit and building a habit of physical activity using the inspiration of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to challenge children to get active. By taking part, the children grew in confidence and learned vital skills, such as teamwork and resilience.
A spokesperson for Willowbridge School said: "Our school hosted an assembly and welcomed Paris Olympian Rebecca Edwards, a rowing competitor who finished 12th in Paris. Rebecca was invited to challenge staff and pupils in sporting activities in a fun and safe environment and afterwards, three classes travelled to Fermanagh Lakeland Forum where they participated in basketball, soccer, pickle ball, boccia and accessible cycling.
"It was a fantastic day of sporting activities and thanks goes to all the staff and pupils involved."
