With a chill in the air, this week Fermanagh photographer Stephanie Wiggins presents a very seasonal photo, ‘Autumn at Ely Lodge Forest’.
Speaking about this colourful scene, she says: “To mark the season that it is, here you’ll find me amongst the delightful mixture of colours on one of the many trails at Ely Lodge Forest.
“Enjoy the shoreline walk through the woodlands, providing great views along the way of Lough Erne.
“One of my favourite trails is known as ‘The Red Squirrel Trail’. It’s worth keeping an eye out for red squirrels that are known to be very active here.
“For wildlife lovers, there’s the opportunity to catch a glimpse of swans, herons, and ducks along the shore, as well as the forest being home to foxes and even pine martins.
“This is a great location to visit at any time during the year, but it’s particularly lovely in the Autumn on a crisp, fresh, sunny morning.”
