The memories of the Collegiate Grammar School 50 years ago were at the forefront of the minds of old school friends as they gathered to mark their 50-year reunion.
Old Collegians who left the school in 1974 gathered at the weekend (Saturday, September 28) for a celebratory meal to recall the good times.
The meeting was arranged by Helen Johnston, Deborah Cowan, Jennifer Sprole and Hazel Gardiner.
The day began with a tour of the former school site at Cooper Crescent conducted by Enniskillen Royal Grammar School principal, Miss Elizabeth Armstrong.
In the evening, 34 ladies attended a dinner in the Killyhevlin Hotel, some had travelled from the local area while others had travelled from as far away as South Africa, England, Scotland and all parts of Ireland to attend the reunion.
Deborah Cowan passed on greetings from around the world from those who were unable to attend the reunion and took time to remember those who have passed on.
Former teachers including Kate Doherty, Sylvia Cooper and Nita Hutchison were also in attendance as guests as well as Miss Armstrong.
Those attending enjoyed viewing old school photographs and other memorabilia including school magazines, uniform and other moments.
Miss Doherty spoke on her memories of that period and shared some encouraging thoughts for the future.
The evening ended with a rousing rendition of the Collegiate School Song. This group of ladies had previously met at the 25 year reunion and enjoyed a great evening of fun and friendships renewed.
