The UUP has welcomed a new sub-regional economic plan by the Economy Minister but warned that it must be matched with action.
UUP economy spokesperson Diana Armstrong MLA said: "I was pleased to welcome the publication of the sub-regional economic plan in the Assembly yesterday.
"This vital document lays the groundwork for addressing the economic disparities that persist across our regions, and it comes at a crucial time for businesses, workers, and communities who need targeted investment and support especially in Fermanagh and South Tyrone with BT/EE to cease operations in Enniskillen on 31 October.
"The sub-regional economic plan is a key step forward in driving long-term economic growth and fostering prosperity across the entire region.
"However, it is essential that this plan is matched with action.
“Many areas have felt left behind for far too long, and its high time that we saw real, tangible progress that supports local jobs, infrastructure, public services with a balanced and inclusive economy.
“I will continue to advocate for policies that promote equitable growth, supports skills development, tackle regional inequalities, and unlock the full potential of every part of our region."
