The Callagheen Wind Farm Fund is now accepting applications.
Managed by the Fermanagh Trust, this fund was established by Callagheen Wind Farm Ltd in collaboration with Scottish Power Renewables.
It is designed to support community projects within a 7km radius of the wind farm, located between Belleek and Garrison.
This fund offers a significant opportunity for local groups to obtain financial backing for initiatives that improve community life.
Applications are invited from a wide range of community-focused projects, including those related to economic, social, and educational development.
However, priority will be given to proposals that focus on environmental sustainability and show a clear positive impact on the local community.
For more information or to access an application form, visit www.fermanaghtrust.org or contact the Fermanagh Trust via email at secretary@fermanaghtrust.org or by phone at 028 66 320 210.
Last year, the Callagheen Wind Farm Fund successfully awarded grants to various organisations across Northwest Fermanagh.
Beneficiaries included youth organisations, sports clubs, churches, historical societies, music groups, and women's groups.
These grants were important in covering essential running costs, supporting classes and activities that provide both learning and social opportunities, and facilitating minor improvement works.
Belleek Men’s Shed, for example, used their funding to organise pottery classes, contributing to the social and creative engagement of local residents.
Lauri McCusker, director of the Fermanagh Trust, said: "The Callagheen Wind Farm Fund provides crucial financial support for initiatives that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
"The fund has a proven track record of fostering community development and enhancing the educational and social landscape of the region."
The deadline for applications is November 1.
