A Kesh man has been convicted of failing to give information on the driver of a car he owned.
Mervyn Andrew Thomas Walker (57), with an address of Boa Island Road, Lusty Beg Island, Kesh, was handed three penalty points and a £75 fine for the charge relating to an incident on a date between July 16 and August 22 of last year.
A separate charge of excess speed was withdrawn.
The court heard on July 11, 2023, at 2.02pm a Mercedes vehicle registered to the defendant was detected speeding at the Cornagrade Road, Enniskillen.
A fixed penalty notice was sent to Walker asking for information on the driver of the vehicle, but he failed to provide it.
His solicitor, Jane McDermott, told the court Walker regularly worked outside the jurisdiction and did not receive the correspondence for some time.
When he did, he informed his son - who was driving the vehicle at the time - to get in contact with the fixed penalty office.
Miss McDermott added Walker acknowledged that he had a responsibility to do this, before District Judge Alana McSorley handed down the fine and penalty points.
