At the recent graduation ceremony at Harper Adams University, Stephen Evans (right), from Fintona, a former student of Fivemiletown College, presented the Irish Bowl on behalf of Harper Adams in Ireland to Harry Parsons from Lancashire – the top student to graduate from Harper Adams University in 2024.
Stephen graduated BSc(Hons) Agriculture last year, and after a period as a pig adviser with ForFarmers in England, he has returned to Harper Adams to undertake research leading to a PhD degree.
The specially commissioned Tyrone Crystal Irish Bowl was introduced in 2010 to recognise the achievement of the top student graduating from Harper Adams each year.
The first winner of the Irish Bowl in 2010 was Fermanagh’s Matthew Stuart.
