ORGANISERS will be hoping for a good turnout at the tenth Beechvale Water walk for Concern Worldwide this weekend.
Beechvale Water and the Fermanagh Concern Worldwide Volunteer Group will meet this Sunday morning at 10am, October 20, for their annual five-mile walk/run to Toppen Mountain.
Celebrating the walk’s tenth year, Eamon Kelly, of Beechvale Water, said: “We are proud to have supported Concern and the work they do over the past 10 years.
“It’s a great event for walkers and runners, and I look forward to welcoming the people of Fermanagh and from further afield this Sunday.”
Marie McKenna, Vice-Chair Fermanagh Concern Volunteer Group, said: “We are all delighted that the Beechvale walk continues very successfully today with participation from so many different groups and individuals.
“We thank Eamon and Maureen and their family for their continued support of Concern Worldwide over the last 10 years and the huge amount of money raised during that time.”
The start time is 10am from the Beechvale office at Cavanacross. Donations are welcome on the day, but you can also donate online at www.justgiving.com/page/beechvalewalk.
Last year, Concern Worldwide, the humanitarian aid organisation working to end extreme poverty around the world, reached more than 30.3 million people in 26 of the world’s poorest countries.
