STORM Ashley is causing widespread power outages and road closures throughout the county.
A yellow weather warning remains in effect until midnight tonight (Sunday), with strong, disruptive winds being experienced across the region.
Road users are advised that the Enniskillen Road area in Irvinestown, locally known as Mossfield Straight, is closed due to a fallen tree resting on electrical cables near the Baragh Road junction.
Power outages have been reported in several areas, including Belleek, Kesh, Killadeas, Irvinestown, Lisnaskea, Donagh, and the outskirts of Newtownbutler.
Fallen trees have been reported across the county, including at A32 Sydare Cross near Irvinestown.
The storm has also led to the cancellation of sporting fixtures, including a major GAA match at Brewster Park. In addition, council facilities, such as the Culicagh Boardwalk, have been closed.
Warnings remain in place for counties Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry, and North Antrim.
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has urged road users to exercise caution.
“Staff from all agencies have been monitoring the situation throughout the weekend and are prepared to respond to any impacts,” a spokesperson said.
“Please plan ahead, stay updated with the latest weather and travel advice, consider if your journey is necessary, and take extra care if travelling. Be vigilant of potential debris and fallen trees.”
