There was a full house for the launch of a new music book accompanied by a recital on Saturday, October 19.
The first half of the recital involved the performance of the 25 short piano pieces composed by students of Jonathan Beatty aged from 8 to 80.
Jonathan played the majority of the music while explaining some of its characteristics and how, interestingly, it reflected the personalities of the students who composed it.
He also had three students performing their own work to showcase their talents. The second half of the recital saw Jonathan performing alongside LAYTHA, who have just released their new EP - Daphne which is available via Spotify.
The Irish duo had collaborated with Jonathan to create and record piano accompaniment for two of their EP’s songs.
Copies of 'A Collection of 25 Compositions by 25 Fermanagh Pianists' can be purchased locally in KB Music and at Lydia’s, or they can be purchased online at www.zoarmusic.co.uk.
