Equine students at Enniskillen Campus celebrated their achievements at a recent ceremony.

The event on October 18 marked the success of College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) students gaining Level 2 Technical Certificates in Equine Care and Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diplomas in Equine Management.

Among the awardees were both full-time and part-time students, with some continuing their studies at higher levels.

Emma Brow (Hillsborough) was awarded the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Prize as top student on the Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management (Image: Supplied) Dr. Eric Long, head of Education at CAFRE, acknowledged the institution's strong ties with the equine industry, attributing these links to the college's successful educational and knowledge transfer initiatives.

He thanked all industry partners for their contributions.

CAFRE offers further education courses to those with GCSE or equivalent qualifications interested in the equine industry.

Foundation and Honours Degree courses in Equine Management are also available for those with A-Level or equivalent qualifications.

In her speech, Shelley Stuart praised all students, highlighting the achievements of top performers.

Virginia's Michelle-Claudia Rovinaru, named the top student in the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Equine Care, was awarded two prizes.

Guest speaker Grainne Flavin from Bennett’s Equestrian captivated the audience with insights into the Irish equine industry's opportunities.

She emphasised the importance of education, self-confidence, and kindness.
