Continuing with the series looking back at Fermanagh through the pages of The Impartial Reporter we revisit significant events in 1924 while we also get a flavour at what some of our elected politicians were discussing on the benches of Westminster in 1974.
With Halloween just past, we take a look back at some of the costumes on show in previous editions spanning the years.
From those picking the best toffee apple, winners of Halloween competitions or young children enjoying a community event in Lisnaskea, the Halloween events throughout the community were well covered.
And then there was the Children in Need event held in Dunnes Stores where aspiring stars of stage and screen put their talents on display.
Pudsey the bear was in town as the 16 year olds and under stole the show with line dancing, singing and playing in a band.
And we also take a look at costumes including those that a former Chairman of Fermanagh District Council donned to welcome young farmers and had nothing to do with Halloween.
Councillor Caldwell McClaughry became a warrior chief at a "safari in Fermanagh" fancy dress party in the Killyhevlin Hotel to welcome young farmers from throughout the United Kingdom and abroad to their annual reunion.
The residential weekend based in the hotel attracted over 170 members of Young Farmers' Ambassadors, an organisation for former members of the YFC who have been on exchange visits abroad.
The Chairman of the YFA in Northern Ireland at the time was Mr. Derek Quinton, from Garvary and he and his committee were instrumental in bringing the reunion to Enniskillen.
