Kesh man facing assault charge

A Kesh man has appeared in court on single charge of common assault.

Shay Mark Doherty (36), with an address of Rosscolban Meadows, Kesh appeared in the dock at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday morning where he was connected to the charge by a sworn police officer.

The common assault is alleged to have taken place on October 13 of this year.

The case was adjourned until December 2.

In charge with excess alcohol case adjourned

A man facing a charge of being in charge of a vehicle with excess alcohol in his breath has been ordered to attend  the next hearing of his case or an arrest warrant will be issued.

Mervyn Wilson (65), of Derrybrusk Road, Enniskillen was allegedly detected in Tesco car park in Enniskillen on October 11, 2024. 

A police officer connected Wilson to the charge, however, the defendant was not present at Enniskillen Magistrates Court.

The case was adjourned until November 11 with Wilson ordered to appear by District Judge Alana McSorley.

Speeding driver pleads guilty by post

A woman has entered a guilty plea to excess speed.

Teresa Cameron (55), with an address of Church Hill Road, Derrygonnelly, was detected driving at 38mph on the Cornagrade Road, Enniskillen at 12.24pm on May 13, 2024.

A fixed penalty was issued to Cameron but she failed to take it up in time.

In a letter to the court, Cameron cited mental health issues for failing to obtain her driving licence and pay the fine in time.

She was handed three penalty points and fined £75.
