The Enniskillen Royal British Legion is inviting the community to join the Act of Remembrance ceremony.

The event, to be held at the Cenotaph, is scheduled for 11am on Sunday, November 10.

There will be a short ecumenical service, incorporating Enniskillen's four main churches, starting at 10.50am.

Representatives from the Government, Civic, and Armed Forces, alongside other VIPs, have been invited to attend the ceremony.

They will join the Royal British Legion in their remembrance led by Viscount Brookeborough KG, His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant for Co.Fermanagh.

John Jones, chairman of the Royal British Legion (Enniskillen Branch), will deliver the Exhortation and Kohima Epitaph.

He said: "Enniskillen Cathedral will be live-streaming the Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance on Sunday November 10 which can be accessed through St. Macartin's Cathedral website (www.enniskillencathedral.com).

"The Service of Remembrance, will take place in St. Macartin's Cathedral, led by The Very Rev Dean Kenneth Hall.

"This will provide an opportunity for our community to Pause, Reflect and Remember, honouring the sacrifice of the fallen and valour of our veterans."

He also mentioned that the Royal British Legion Hall in Enniskillen will be open until Saturday, November 9, from 11am to 4pm for those wishing to purchase poppies and poppy wreaths.

Mr. Jones thanked the community for their support and cooperation, which will ensure the Act of Remembrance proceeds safely and with dignity.
