The beloved story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory takes to the stage with an exciting series of performances by Enniskillen Light Operatic, starting with a special Relaxed Performance on Sunday, December 1 at 2.30pm.
This sensory-friendly version is designed for individuals who might find the theatre experience overwhelming. During this performance, volume levels will be reduced, and house lighting will stay on at a low level, ensuring a comfortable environment for all attendees. Additionally, a sign language interpreter will be on hand, making the show accessible to those with hearing impairments.
For those interested in a traditional experience, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will continue from Wednesday, December 4 through Saturday, December 7 with evening shows at 8pm and a special 2.30pm matinee on December 7.

Specifically tailored for children aged six months to five years, this hands-on experience invites little ones to explore a winter wonderland of sensory play. With festive-themed trays, taste-safe materials, and plenty of gooey textures, it’s sure to delight young minds. Parents or guardians must accompany children, making it a perfect parent-and-child bonding activity filled with creative mess and holiday joy.
A Christmas Carol with a Ghostly Twist Riversdale Essence presents A Christmas Carol from Thursday, December 12 to Saturday, December 14, with evening shows at 8pm and a 2pm matinee on December 14. The show offers a unique take on the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge, with immersive staging set to draw audiences into the ghostly Christmas Eve adventure.
The production combines drama, comedy, music, and mystery for an experience suited to ages eight and up. Note that both strobe lighting and smoke/haze machines will be used to heighten the ghostly atmosphere of this classic tale.
