St. Kevin’s College is celebrating an impressive year of academic achievements.

Principal Gary Kelly said during the prize giving ceremony: "I stand here with great pride and in absolute awe with the talent, skills and fantastic GCSE and A level results you have achieved this year."

88 per cent of year 12 pupils achieved five or more GCSEs grades A* - C, including English and Maths, which is 23 per cent above the Northern Ireland average.

All Year 13 prize winners (Image: Supplied) At A-Level, 80 per cent of year 14 pupils achieved two or more grades A* - C, and 100 per cent achieved two or more grades A* - E, which is three per cent above the Northern Ireland average.

"Secondly, it clearly displays to me that we have truly amazing pupils who work extremely hard.

All Year 10 prize winners (Image: Supplied) The college's efforts extend beyond academics, as the school engages in international cultural exchanges and community service.

All Year 9 prize winners (Image: Supplied) Last year, 24 of the pupils travelled to China to study Chinese language and culture, and in January 2025, 25 pupils will be travelling to Kenya to work in a primary and post-primary school.

The school is also looking forward to a new school building with new classrooms, music rooms, drama theatres and ICT suites, which will be awarded to a contractor in the coming weeks.

The building is part of an expansion plan to accommodate the growing pupil population, which currently stands at 760 pupils.
