More than 300 BT employees have been made redundant following the closure of the BT building in Enniskillen which marked the end of an era for the town.
Among those affected are many individuals who have been a part of the community for years.
The neighbouring Fermanagh House shared a collaborative and supportive relationship with the BT and EE teams.
Their absence will be felt deeply across the town.
In a final act of solidarity and generosity, members of the BT Sports and Social Club organised a grant presentation at Fermanagh House.
Significant donations were made to the Oisín McGrath Foundation, the Fermanagh Downs Syndrome Group, and Fermanagh Women’s Aid.
These contributions stand as a testament to the commitment shown by BT employees in improving the lives of others.
Mr. Lauri McCusker, Director of the Fermanagh Trust, expressed his gratitude for BT’s enduring contributions.
He said: "It’s truly inspiring to see the depth of generosity and dedication BT employees have displayed, even in a period of transition.
"Their support for local charities highlights a lasting legacy of compassion, integrity, and community spirit that has touched so many lives."
Mr. McCusker also extended his thanks to all departing employees for their unwavering support, selflessness, and friendship.
He said: "They have enriched our community in countless ways, and we wish them every success and happiness in this next chapter of their lives."
