A theatre is set to stage a classic musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

Enniskillen Light Operatic will perform the show from November 28 until December 7, with a matinee and evening show on each day.

The tale follows Charlie Bucket, a boy living in poverty, who finds the final Golden Ticket, granting him entry to the magical Wonka Chocolate Factory.

The audience can look forward to meeting the eccentric Willy Wonka and encountering the peculiar Oompa-Loompas.

The musical adaptation promises to be a 'Christmas treat', starting the holiday season on a high note.

A smoke and haze machine will be used during the performances.

For those with younger children, Little Mess Fermanagh is hosting a Christmas messy play event on Saturday, December 7 at 11am.

The event, suitable for six-month to five-year-olds, will allow children to explore a 'winter wonderland of sensory play activities.'

This includes festive-themed trays, taste-safe materials, and 'gooey, wintry substances.'

The Christmas magic continues with Riversdale Essence presenting a world premiere adaptation of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol,' penned by Alan Harris.

The shows will run from December 12 to December 14 at 8pm, with a matinee at 2pm.

The classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge is set to unfold with 'unique staging', immersing the audience in a blend of ghostly drama, comedy, music, and mystery.

The performance is recommended for ages eight and above, with strobe lighting and a smoke/haze machine in use.

Finally, the Fermanagh Art Club is hosting a special Christmas painting workshop on Saturday, December 14 at 10am.

Led by a qualified art teacher and 'experienced artists', this two-hour class welcomes children aged six to 14 years old.

Participants will be guided to create their own unique painting to take home.
