A 22-YEAR-OLD man who is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a male during an assault in Belcoo has been remanded in custody.
Oran Murray (22) of Macnean Court Belcoo appeared at Enniskillen Magistrate's Court yesterday (Monday).
Murray is facing a total of five charges from an incident on Saturday which left a male with serious injuries, including a cut above his eye and part of his ear missing.
Charges include grievous bodily harm to a male; common assault to another male; causing criminal damage to the floor of a Spar shop in Belcoo; assaulting a male police officer; and causing disorderly behaviour at Main Street, Belcoo.
According to police, a 31-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the investigation has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
During the short hearing at Enniskillen courthouse, a prosecutor said that told the court that they were objecting to bail.
This was, however, refused by District Judge, Alana McSorley, who adjourned the case until December 16.
Remanding Murray in custody, the judge and ordered that case will be heard again at Enniskillen Magistrate's Court.
