The Bawnacre Centre was filled to capacity on Tuesday evening when hometown celebrity, Sinead Quinn returned to Irvinestown to give a performance in the leisure centre as it marked its' 40th Anniversary.
Sinead took to the stage in an evening filled with nostalgia and music. Sharing stories from her youth and reflecting on her rise to national fame through TV shows like Fame Academy and Top of the Pops, Sinead captivated the audience. Her heartfelt performances of songs from her Fame Academy days were dedicated to the Bawnacre Centre, a place she credited as pivotal in shaping her formative years.
Adding to the evening’s magic, country music legend John Glenn returned to the Bawnacre for a much-anticipated appearance, rekindling memories of his successful Christmas show at the venue years ago.
The celebration also showcased the remarkable talents of local artists, including Robert Pearson, Eleanor McGrath, Georgia McCusker, and Erin Keane. Their performances highlighted the vibrant musical talent within the community and added a personal touch to the evening’s festivities.
The evening was a free event and helped celebrate the community, music and memories of Irvinestown.
