An Enniskillen man who almost lost his life in a car accident near Sydney Harbour Bridge has been sharing some details of his road to recovery.
Beoan Jones has been sharing video clips on TikTok, one year on from the accident that almost claimed his life.
He was only in Sydney for three months when he was hit by a car near Sydney Bridge on November 11.
Beoan has shared images from his recovery process as well as a number of quotes. In one post he states: “This time last year, my parents got a phone call saying with my injuries, I was more than likely not going to survive but they didn’t realise what kind of man I am. I am built different.”
He has also shared clips of him learning to walk again with the caption: “Slow progress but keeps me hopeful. Working towards getting these legs back up and running. Hoping to get some physiotherapy soon and with hard work, I will get there.”
He included a number of hashtags in his post including ‘I will walk again’. Fundraising efforts to support his road to recovery have been ongoing and a GoFundMe page remains open.
In an update posted on the page in September, Mr. Jones said he had completed some physio and occupational therapy in the Musgrave Hospital.
He posted: “It’s a long road, but a hopeful one. Thanks everyone for the donations and thoughts and prayers. I’m grateful for everything.”
