On Saturday, November 30, Derrygonnelly Community Centre will transform into a festive wonderland for the annual Derrygonnelly Christmas Market—a cherished community event offering something for everyone.

Known for its warm, inclusive atmosphere, this market draws hundreds each year from Derrygonnelly and neighbouring towns, creating a unique holiday experience that highlights local talent and holiday spirit.

The Christmas Market, a collaboration among local community groups and businesses, is one of Derrygonnelly’s best-loved holiday traditions.

With local organizations like the Churchill Band and WiLadies volunteering their time and talents, the event showcases the spirit of togetherness that defines Derrygonnelly.

"It’s brilliant, it’s a cross-community thing,” shared a community representative.

“Everyone in local businesses or local craft work gets an opportunity to come in and showcase their work."

With no entry fee, the market is truly community-focused and open to all. Guests can look forward to an impressive range of craft stalls featuring handmade goods and gifts by local artisans.

From festive wreaths and ornaments to unique handcrafted gifts, there will be a diverse array of items perfect for holiday shopping.

Attendees can enjoy complimentary teas, coffees, and homemade mince pies, adding a cosy touch to the occasion.

For younger visitors, meeting Santa Claus is a highlight of the event. Children can share their holiday wishes with Santa and his elves and receive a small selection box, creating lasting memories.
