Gwen Crozier, the ‘Queen of Kilskeery’ was laid to rest today (Wendesday) following her funeral in the village she loved so well.
Mrs. Crozier, a popular postmistress and highly respected member of the community died on Saturday, November 23 in Altnagelvin Hospital.
She was highly regarded in the village for her role in all aspects of the community from serving as the building supervisor of Queen Elizabeth II Primary School to her role with the Girls Brigade, with her church as well as the local hall.
Mrs. Crozier is survived by her husband, Jimmy, her children Mark (Janice), Karen (Richard), Jemma (William), Kerri (Stuart) and Jamie (Kevin), her eight grandchildren and her siblings: Anna Frances, Noel and David. She was predeceased by her brother George.
Funeral arrangements were carried out by Marcus Madill Funeral Directors.
