The death has occurred peacefully at South West Acute Hospital on April 9, 2019, of Mrs Eveline Elizabeth Hughes, late of Sheridan, Irvinestown.
Eveline was born on June 10, 1934 at Killymendon, Ballinamallard, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Dunne and sister of the late Frances, Dorothy, Cecil and Harry. She was educated at the Methodist School, Ballinamallard after which she worked on the family farm and went to work in various clothing factories.
Eveline married Albert Hughes in 1961 and made their home at Sheridan, Irvinestown and were blessed with one son Alan.
Her interests centred on her family, home and farm.
Her funeral service at Derryvullen North Parish Church was conducted by Rev. Paul Thompson and assisted by Rev. Alan Irwin, Dr Margaret Knox and Mrs Eileen Cutler. The hymns were - What a friend we have in Jesus, The Old Rugged Cross and Abide with Me. The organist was Mrs Florence Barrett. The burial was in Sydare Cemetery.
There was a large attendance reflecting how well known and widely respected the family are in the community.
Eveline is survived by her husband Albert, her son Alan (Karen), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and family circle.
The funeral arrangements were by W.T.Morrison Funeral Directors, 41 Darling Street, Enniskillen.
