Dear Madam, - I would like through your newspaper to say I have great praise for the kind and efficient staff on South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen.
I had to visit the A&E on Friday night and from the moment I arrived I was well treated by hard working staff who dealt with each patient calmly and quickly. I was passed on to a young lady doctor who was rushing from one room to another but she had a smile and time for everyone.
After blood tests, I was taken for X-rays and a scan, even though it was now the middle of the night. Although the staff there were also overworked and tired, they sat and talked to me as I waited for a bed in the ward. I found I receive excellent treatment, from the surgeon right through to the very busy nursing staff, who couldn’t have given me more attention.
Thanks to you all. It’s a shame that there aren’t more doctors to help, especially at night.
Yours faithfully, Maureen McHugh.
