There was plenty of local success at the Fermanagh Open Tennis Championships with finals day last Friday at the Bawnacre Centre producing some superb entertainment.
Kyran Maguire and Amy Griffin were among the local victors with players from Omagh, Enniskillen, Butthall, Irvinestown, Letterkenny, Clairemorris and David Lloyd Dublin all involved on the day.
For the local players a lot of the County singles titles were won.
The day started well with a very entertaining U12 Boys final when Rory Smyth Enniskillen TC defeated Ace Rodriguez Butt Hall TC 6-2 6-4 with both boys showing great skills and superb ground strokes.
In the Girls U12s final Aoibheann King Enniskillen TC put up a some great battles all week winning three matches and losing her final match to eventual winner Lauryn Barry, Dublin and secured runner up in a round robin format. Third in the group was Annabel Morrison Enniskillen TC who won two matches.

The U18 Girls was a great final with Sisters Amy and Ciara Griffin Enniskillen TC battling it out with some great rallies and hard hitting. in the end it was Amy who came out as Champion when she won 6-2 7-5 and following in the steps of her older sister Laura .
For Kyran Maguire, who just a month ago took the County Senior title, this was his last battle on his home courts as a junior player.
For the host club he didn’t disappoint when he beat Alex Stergiopoulos from the Donegal Clubs 6-4 6-2 in the U 18 final.
Kyran has the distinct record of holding all the County titles from U10, U12, U14, 16, U18 right up to Senior - something that may never be repeated and something he can be very proud off.
