It was a tremendous week of tennis at the Fermanagh Junior Open Championships at Irvinestown Tennis Club.
On Monday of the event the 10s team Competition took place, sponsored by the PillBox with 20 children playing on the mini courts and transition balls. It turned out to be a tremendous morning for all involved.
The main events which were sponsored by Jeweldeane, saw players from all the local clubs plus Belfast, Butthall, City of Derry, Cavan, Claremorris and Letterkenny battle it out for the County titles.
In the U18 section, Enniskillen girl Eve Callaghan won the top prize when she clinched the U18 Singles title over fellow club member Amy Griffin.
And Amy and sister Ciara took the U18s Girls Doubles with Ciara following that up with the Mixed Doubles title with Letterkenny player Sean Boyle.
The U18 Boys Singles was won by Hilden player Ethan Hance.
The 16 Boys Singles saw number one seed Andrew Hatrick of City of Derry claim the title and he also claimed the Doubles with Ace Rodriguez, Butthall.
The U16 Girls Doubles was won by Irvinestown girl Angelina Gcado with Tara Mooney, Letterkenny.
In the U14 section, Hogan O’Haire, Butthall took the Boys Singles with some fine tennis over fellow club member Luka Browne and Letterkenny’s Sorcha Hanly taking the girls event.

Junior co-ordinator, John Maguire made special presentations to five players who have come to the end of their Irvinestown junior events and will move into senior tournaments next year; Ciara Griffin, Charles Rodriguez, Sean Boyle, Andrew Hattrick and Conal Murphy.
Thanks was expressed to Alison Coalter of Jeweldeane for sponsoring the event and Bawnacre Centre and Staff for superb hospitality and facilities.
To the parents who transported the juniors to the event and support of the tournament he praised all the Novice players who started their first tournament and gained great experience.
And finally to Laura and Junior tournament committee for the hard work all week and continued volunteering to provide these opportunities for the young athletes to enjoy tennis.
