Lisnaskea Emmetts secured their place in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship final in 2011 with victory over Kildare champions, Ballymore, in Navan. Peter Clarke’s side dominated matters throughout to run out convincing 1-12 to 1-05 winners.
In the Irish Junior Cup, Irvinestown Wanderers sealed their place in Round Five in 2001 with a 3-1 win over Randalstown Sky Blues at the Bawnacre.
Shane Goan was the hero for the home side, netting a hat-trick on the day.
Gary Armstrong grabbed the only goal of the game as Ballinamallard United clinched the points against UUJ at Ferney Park in the B Division in 1991.
There was success for swimmer Chelsey Wilson, who medalled in a high-quality meet in Luxembourg.
Lakelander swimmer Chelsey returned home with a bronze medal in the 200m Backstroke.
In rugby, Skins booked their spot in the next round of the Towns’ Cup in 2011with a 26-17 win over UUC.
