Enniskillen man Craig Scollan has made the switch to Thundersport for 2021 on a Suzuki SV650 to compete in the British Championship, which begins this coming weekend in Cadwell Park.
The electrician, who works for Tom Beacom in Lisbellaw, has decided to give the Thundersport Championship his full concentration for 2021 and has acquired himself a Suzuki SV 650, which last year guided Matthew McGowan from Tamlaght to third in the stock twin championship.
McGowan made the switch to a Yamaha R6, leaving an opportunity for Scollan to make the step-up to compete in the British Thundersport Championship.
“We decided over the winter that I would like to go to England, and I have been very lucky that local businesses have come on board to support my 2021 campaign.
“I can’t thank everyone enough, and I’m looking forward to what 2021 has in store,” said Scollan.
Racing starts on Sunday and then concludes on Monday for Cadwell Park, and Craig will also be joined by Tamlaght brothers Marc and Matthew McGowan, who will be competing on two Yamaha R6s.
