The 2021 Fermanagh Open Tennis Championships were officially launched by Irvinestown Lawn Tennis Club in Mahon’s Hotel who, along with Flo-Gas, are this year’s main sponsors.
Tournament Director John Maguire is optimistic that this year’s competition, despite current restrictions, will go ahead as planned from June 26 to July 4, with on-line entries closing just before midnight on June 22.
At the launch he stated:
“We understand that the present situation will limit the number of entrants and freedom of movement that we have enjoyed in past tournaments.
“However, as in the past we still are hopeful of having entrants from all over Ireland to compete in all three grades.”
He then added that it was heartening to see Flo-Gas, who have co-sponsored the event for a number of years, still committing to this prestigious event in the tennis calendar.
This year they are joined by Mahon’s Hotel as main sponsors and proprietor Joe Mahon welcomed Paul Ruegg, Senior Marketing Executive of Flo-Gas, to Mahon’s Hotel for the official launch.
