Max Jones was back at Tandragee Mx Park for Round Four of the MRA Ulster Championship last Saturday. Having ridden at the same venue the previous week with a mixed bag of results due to some bike issues, Max was keen to improve and pick up some good points.
In race one, Max got an average start off the line but was able to work through the pack to fourth position which he easily held to the finish line.
In race two, he got the hole shot into the first corner and settled into fourth position. Unfortunately, he spun out on the last lap while dealing with a back marker but he managed to get the bike upright and going again but dropped to fifth position as a result . In race three, Max got another good start rounding the first corner in second position. Again, he settled in fourth position but was being chased closely by another rider. He held fourth to the chequered flag finishing the day with a score card of fourth-fifth-fourth for fourth overall.
Max is sitting in fifth overall in the standings and with two rounds to go in the MRA championship, the seven year old is looking forward to finishing the season strong.
