Rianna and Julia Mulligan of Drumcoo, Enniskillen were Showjumping over the past few weekends at two different events and continued their successful season.
Rianna, Year 10 at ERGS, competed on her pony Highlandy Rebel and Julia, Year 9 at Devenish College, competed on her ponies Bronheulog Catnap and Strawberry Phoenix in the Show jumping Ireland Ulster Region Autumn Tour Final at Portmore Equestrian Centre.
Julia was first up on Bronheulog Catnap in the 138/80CM final where she jumped to first on the day and overall league winner. Julia then jumped Strawberry Phoenix in the 138/90Cm where she placed second on the day which was enough to take the league title. These were two very good results, both ponies are 4/5 year olds competing against much more experienced combinations.
Rianna was up next and competed in the 148/90CM and 148/1mtr classes, Rianna and Highlandy Rebel scorched the course in each event to record two first places and two league wins.
The two sisters followed on from their successes in the Ulster Region Tour Final when attending the final round of the Interschool’s at the Meadows Equestrian Centre.
Julia, on her Pony Devonhayes Marble, was successful in the 75CM class and Rianna and Highlandy Rebel was successful in both the 85CM and 1Mtr classes to finish off the season on a high.
