Devenish GAA will host the 2022 Garrison 10K and 5K at 12 noon on Saturday October 22.
Proceeds raised from this year’s event will go to Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie, in memory of Michael Joe Burns and Angela Hamilton.
The chip-timed event organised by the Garrison club in association with Melvin Recreational & Resource Complex Limited, is now in its tenth year but this is the first since 2019 due to the pandemic.
The event attracts competitive runners in the chip-timed categories and appeals to many more who like to walk, jog or run to take part for fun.
The event provides an opportunity for the Club to raise awareness and funds for worthy causes. This year in memory of the late Michael Joe Burns and Angela Hamilton, the proceeds raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie.
Online registration for the event is now open via the Devenish St Mary’s Klubfunder page: www.klubfunder.com/clubs/devenish_St_Marys_GAA
Registration for the event will also take place in the Devenish clubrooms between 7-9pm on Friday, October 21 and between 9.30-11.30am on the morning of the event, Saturday October 22. Entry Fees: 10K: 18+ £15 / €18; U18:£10 / €12; 5K 15+ £15 / €18; U15: £10 / €12; Family: £40 / €50.
