• Enniskillen Rangers bridged a 23-year gap to land the Mulhern Cup with a 3-2 win over over Kesh at Ferney Park. It all looked to be going Rangers’ way as they opened up a 2-0 lead while Kesh were forced to play the majority of the contest with ten men after the early dismissal of Justin Palmer.
However, two Ryan Campbell goals saw Kesh level things but with two minutes to go Jason Keenan popped up with the winner as he capitalised on a goalkeeping error to leave it 3-2 at the finish.
• Ballinamallard secured a fourth-place finish in the Lough 41 Championship with a 2-2 draw against H2 Welders.
• Kesh striker Ryan Campbell was named Fermanagh and Western Division One Player of the Year.
• Fermanagh opened up their Tailteann Cup campaign with a 1-12 to 0-12 victory over Longford in Pearse Park. Ultan Kelm’s late goal proved decisive for Kieran Donnelly’s side.
• Joanne Doonan signed a two year deal with AFLW side Essendon.
• Fermanagh Ladies put six goals past Derry to seal their place in the Ulster Junior Championship final, but in the decider it was Antrim who again came out on top with Fermanagh letting a seven-point half-time lead slip in a 2-13 to 1-15 loss.
• Clogher Valley made it a Junior Cup double as they saw off City of Armagh II 43-10 to land the Millar McCall Wylie Junior Cup, adding to the All-Ireland Junior title they had already secured.
• Fermanagh hurlers completed their Nickey Rackard Cup programme with defeat to Roscommon, but they had done enough to secure their place in the competition for the 2023 season.
• Fermanagh Minors exited the Ulster Championships as they let a six-point lead slip before going down 3-06 to 0-18 to Cavan in the qualifiers at Brewster Park.
• Enniskillen Lakelanders swimmer Jamie Lannon claimed a six-medal haul at the Ulster Age Group and Senior Long Course Championships in Bangor.
• Fermanagh man Rory Gallagher led Derry to the Ulster SFC title with an extra-time victory over Donegal.
• Ellie McCartney earned selection for Ireland for the European Junior Swimming Championships.
• It was a busy month for ERBC rowers. Senior crews enjoyed success at Skibbereen Grand League Regatta, while Junior rowers claimed five wins at Trinity Regatta. At the National Schools’ Regatta in London, the ERBC Boys Junior 14 Octo reached the A Final.
• Portora rowers picked up three wins at Portadown Regatta while ERBC Junior crews clinched 12 wins at the same meet.
• Alastair Fisher crashed out while leading on the final stage of the Killarney Rally of the Lakes.
• Johnny Leonard was the top Fermanagh finisher at the May Day Rally at St Angelo.
• Jon Armstrong and Brian Hoy returned to the top of the Junior WRC standings despite a fraught fourth-place finish at Rally Portugal.
• Lee Johnston continued his strong start to the British Supersport Championship with a new lap record and two podium finishes at Oulton Park. Johnston also took one win and three other podium finishes at the North West 200.
• Enniskillen Tennis Club’s Eve Callaghan claimed singles and doubles success at the West of Ulster Championships.
• Wrestler Darragh Love won silver at the British Junior wrestling Championships.
• Jack O’Connor, of St. Michael’s, won triple gold at the Ulster Schools’ Track and Field finals, setting a new Minor Boys 100m record. There were also golds for St. Michael’s Sean Corry, Annabel Morrison of ERGS and Oliver Polak of Devenish. St. Michael’s also won the Minor Relay team gold.
• Megan Mullally claimed victory at Flahavan’s Invitational 3000m race at the Belfast International Meet.
• Victoria Watterson won gold at the Irish Bouldering Championships.
