Goals from Adam Callaghan and Niall Cosgrove proved to be the difference between Lisnaskea and Roslea last Friday in tough conditions at Emmett Park.

Roslea manager Ciaran Murphy was happy to come away with a win following a “mixed performance” from his side.

Roslea took a 1-01 lead at the start of last week's game.

Sean Quigley played a quick free kick early to catch the Lisnaskea defence off guard ending with Callaghan racing in on goal to fire into the net.

John Reihill’s side were able to work themselves back into the game with well-worked scores from Hayden Lynch and Eoin McCabe.

Joe McDade went on a strong run before he fired the ball between the posts.

Points from Quigley meant Roslea took a two-point advantage in at half-time.

A couple of early Roslea scores were answered by points from Sean Keenan, Lynch and McDade to draw the home side level in the game.

The sides then traded scores before Roslea found their second goal as it came from another Quigley free kick.

This time his kick dropped short into the square and it fell kindly for Niall Cosgrove who caught the ball and fired it past the Lisnaskea goalkeeper to seal the victory.

The win is Roslea’s fourth from five games with their only loss coming at the hands of Tempo earlier in the month.

After defeats to Teemore and Roslea, Lisnaskea will be hoping to bounce back with a win away to Coa tomorrow evening as they look to close the gap on Maguiresbridge in sixth spot. Meanwhile, Roslea will welcome Mickey Cadden’s Aghadrumsee side to Shamrock Park tomorrow.

A win over Aghadrumsee tomorrow night would see Murphy’s side go level on points with second place Teemore if Devenish are able to record a win over Tony Collins’ side.
