The 43rd Lough Melvin Open took place at the end of August with more than 300 competitors taking to the water over the four-day competition.
It was a hugely successful event that saw competitors from all over Ireland and overseas, including as far away as Australia, taking part in the idyllic setting of Lough Melvin.
After the four days it was Rory McCaffrey and Michael O’Toole who emerged victorious ahead of Nigel Green and Brian Canavan in second place, and Darren Maguire and John Collins in third.
Rory and Michael had a combined weight of 3.080kg.
The winning anglers each received a brand-new boat built by DC Boats.
Other prize-winning anglers in the competition were Joe Gilroy, Best Committee Angler; Andries Ferreira, Best Club Angler and Best Northern Angler; Stella McGriskin, Best Lady Angler; Josh Parkyn, Best Junior Angler; Jimmy Cahil, Best Southern Angler and Gavin Brown was the Best Overseas Angler.
Terry McGovern, the Chairman of Garrison & Lough Melvin Anglers Association, thanked all of the anglers, sponsors and committee for their participation and hard work.
