Kieran McKenna was crowned Championship Manager of the Year at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Sunday evening.
The Ipswich coach fended off Leeds United manager Daniel Farke and Hull City boss Liam Rosenior to scoop the award while Blues player Wes Burn also picked up the EFL Goal of the Season award.
Ipswich Town sit top of the table with promotion to the Premier League in their sights, however, Leicester City do have a game in hand over the leaders and could leapfrog them with a win next Saturday against West Brom.
Ipswich have won 26 of their 43 league games, losing just six. They drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough at the weekend, with Leicester and Leeds both losing 1-0.
Speaking after picking up the award, McKenna said: "It's certainly not been easy and it's testament to a whole lot of people at the Football Club. The players have been fantastic and as everyone knows, it's such a competitive division and so many games are tight and go down to fine margins and you can't come out on top every week, but we've found a way so many weeks.”
The Tractor Boys have three more Championship games to go against Hull, Coventry and Huddersfield.
"We've got three big games now and we take the first one first,” McKenna added. “We'll do our very best and there are some top teams that are competing but it's nice to be in it."
