The Erne Boat Rally will celebrate its 57th year on Friday, May 24 at Lisnaskea Boat Club on Upper Lough Erne after being launched on Thursday, April 18 in The Seven Horse Shoes.
Padraig Leddy, Chairman of the Erne Boat Rally, announced the boat club in Lisnaskea will have a dinner dance with a wine reception.
“We hope to visit the RNLI Station, who have just celebrated their 200th year in existence and of course saving lives at sea and on Inland Waterways”, he said.
Memories of rallies and characters will be reminisced in what the rally hopes to be an evening full of entertainment as the boats will then head to the Lough Erne Yacht Club on Saturday morning for lunch.
The Commodore, Glen Latimer, said that the rally will then head towards Ross Harbour resort at Boa Island: “The rally has never visited the Island before, so we are excited to be going there.
"I hope we have good weather for the rally this year and safe boating”.
