Despite the background noise of the protests and disciplinary committee meetings, Tummery Athletic and Enniskillen Rangers will have to focus on what happens on the Ferney Park pitch on Thursday evening as they meet in yet another semi-final, this time in the Mulhern Cup.
The fate of the clubs may be known by the time the game kicks off in the Junior Cup but it should have little bearing on matters on the field.
For Tummery player/manager, Ryan Hanna, he wants his players to take the learnings from that semi-final defeat and bring them into the game.
Following that defeat to Rangers, Tummery's form dipped but Hanna believes recent outings in the Mercer League have shown the levels his side can reach and he wants it to continue on Thursday evening.
"I suppose Ttummery synonymously have been a cup team but in the last couple of years we have been successful in the league and we have been disappointing in the Mulhern Cup and the Junior Cup as well," he said.
"It's great to get to this stage and you are one step away from a Mulhern Cup final."
Looking back at the Junior Cup semi-final between the two sides, Hanna was disappointed with parts of the team's performance as they lost 3-1. And Thursday night gives them a chance to rectify that: "We are people that play football and that's all we really want to do.
"So it's trying to bring the best out in everybody individually and collectively for the night because that is what it's going to take to get over the line."
Tummery have been motoring well in the league with their recent performance, especially in the first half against Killen Rangers, pleasing Hanna.
"I thought the first half we were absolutely excellent. We brought everything we wanted from the performance in terms of intensity, quality, aggression, and patience in play.
"The second half we were not as good but over the 90 minutes it was hard to maintain it. But I thought the first half we were excellent so that is what we will be looking to bring in on Thursday.
"That attitude, that level of performance and those standards and across the 90 minutes will be key."
Enniskillen Rangers pose a formidable task for Tummery and there will be little that either side does not know about the other.
"Both teams know each other well. Both teams regardless of what is going on off the field have the utmost respect for each other on the field and that’s the bottom line with it all.
"We know Rangers but knowing them and stopping them is a totally different thing so on the night we know we have to perform in all aspects of the game to get something from it.
"We had learnings from the semi-final. So it's about trying to look at that and right some of those wrongs and build on the positives we had from that semi-final."
If they do that Hanna hopes it will be enough to send his side through to the Mulhern Cup final.
Winning every competition Tummery compete in is a goal Hanna and his players had from the start of the season and Thursday's game is another step on the journey to silverware: "We know there are a lot of tough games to play but from our perspective, we see them as stepping stones and not hurdles.
"And that is what we are going to do on Thursday night - see it as a stepping stone and not a hurdle to the final and attack it with everything we have."
