Enniskillen Town U17’s were crowned BKYL champions after a 3-1 win over Lisnaskea Rovers on Friday evening.
The game was played in front of a large crowd at the Youth Sports Centre in Omagh as Town came from 1-0 down to win as goals from Tomás Cathcart, Shay McCarney and their captain Cohen Murphy saw them run out 3-1 winners and lift this year’s trophy.
The Enniskillen side threatened early with Dan O’Connor causing trouble in behind ‘Skea’s backline and went close to making it 1-0 with a snapshot that just missed the top left corner.
However, it was Rovers who took the lead when referee Damien Maguire pointed to the spot and Rovers made no mistake from the penalty spot to make it 1-0.
Town got themselves back into it before halftime when a corner was met by the head of Cathcart to make it 1-1.
They would go on to take control in the second half enjoying more of the possession and they were eventually rewarded as Murphy tucked home a penalty after being taken down in the box.
McCarney sealed the win late on as he evaded a number of Rovers defenders before finding the top corner to make it 3-1.
