Enniskillen Golf Club hosted the latest round of action in the Federation for International Footgolf (FIFG) last weekend.

The 2024 World Tour made its stop in Fermanagh, for the Ulster Open, with players making the trip from all over Ireland as well as England and Scotland to participate in the event.

The Juniors, Ladies, Amateurs, Seniors, Pro and Pairs sections were all in action over Saturday and Sunday in a highly competitive two days of footgolf.

Thankfully the Erne weather made for an enjoyable weekend, as the competition kicked off on Saturday with the Scottish and Irish pair of Vinnie McGuire and Paul Mullin taking the Pairs title.

Kailum Cahir was victorious in his first-ever outing in the Junior section as he lifted the title with an exciting future ahead for the youngster.

Nicola Hogarty took another win in the Ladies' action with her biggest margin of victory so far this year as Katie Donoghue came in second place.

Sean Scully stayed on course with another win in the Amateurs fending off interest from Sami Tahraoui and Ronan McCormack.

In the Seniors, Scottish players Donald McKenzie and Colin Murray came in second and third as Joe Donoghue took first place with an impressive performance.

In the much anticipated Pro event, the left-footed Vinnie Maguire earned himself a third-place finish while David Quigley took second.

This year’s Ulster Open trophy went to Joe McCourt fighting off 60 other competitors to land the inaugural prize on a tough course in Enniskillen.

Next up for the 2024 Tour is the Munster Open in Clare on Sunday, July 28, as all competitors will do it all over again.
