Teemore 2-10 Lisnaskea 1-10
Teemore handed Lisnaskea a second defeat on the bounce, on Tuesday night, just four days after Tempo inflicted a first loss of the season for the Emmets.
The Shamrocks and Lisnaskea couldn’t be separated when they met in the Club Players’ Competition earlier in the year but goals, in either half, from Ronan McCaffrey and Jack Quinlan proved critical for the Shamrocks who are unbeaten in their opening five league games and sit third in Division Two.
McCaffrey earned Teemore a point on Friday evening when his late score levelled their game against Irvinestown.
Assistant manager Barry Owens was left pleased with his side’s efforts from the last two games: “We had two tough games there against teams who are chasing promotion.
"To come away with three points from the two games has left us still in the hunt for promotion with four games left. It's great credit to the lads who got through a lot of work in the last two games.”
Meanwhile, Lisnaskea assistant manager Johnny Feeley admitted it was a disappointing few days.
"Overall, we'd be disappointed in ourselves to have come away with nothing to show from the game,” he said.
“We created the opportunities to win it but just didn't convert them. “You can’t fault the boys, they put in a huge shift.
"We will take the learnings from it and move on."
Teemore took a 1-05 to 0-03 advantage in at halftime at St .Mary’s Park on Tuesday.
Eoin McManus hit three points with two coming from frees with Rian McNally and Ruairi Maguire also adding points.
McCaffrey grabbed the key score in the opening 30 minutes as Quinlan found Colm McNally with a ball inside, who then fed the oncoming Cian McManus and he squared the ball over to McCaffrey to finish to the net from close range.
Lisnaskea hit points via a Justy McDade free and a point from play with Ethan McCaffrey also converting a free.
They also had two goal opportunities in the first-half as McDade and Hayden Lynch were both denied one on one.
Frees from McManus and McCaffrey added to points from Colm McNally, Rian McNally and Sean Doherty in the second half alongside Quinlan’s goal.
A quick transition from an Emmets kick-out led to Jack McGann playing Quinlan whose shot deflected into the net.
Lynch hit three frees for Lisnaskea in the second half, Justy McDade grabbed two points while Mark Kelly and Joe McDade both hit stunning scores from wide positions.
Tom Clarke set up Lynch for their goal, but it wasn't enough to stop Teemore from recording a three-point win.
On Friday night, a strong final 10 minutes from Tempo guided them to a win over Lisnaskea.
After Tom Clarke’s goal gave the Emmets the lead, Tempo hit scores through Lorcan McStravick, Niall Murphy, Oisin Murphy and Aidan Breen to win the game.
Eoin McManus hit six points for Teemore on Friday in Irvinestown but it took McCaffrey’s late point to snatch a draw following Ben McCann’s second-half goal for the St. Molaise’s side.
