Brookeborough 2-04 Tempo 3-22

Tempo recorded a handsome win over Brookeborough in their midweek clash with a final score of 3-22 to 2-04.

Lorcan McStravick, Aidan Breen and Caolan Corry all netted goals to give Tempo a fourth win from five and put them in second place in Division Two.

It added to their win over Lisnaskea on Friday night as the Maguires continued their hunt for promotion.

"It was a solid team performance," said joint Tempo manager Ryan Cassidy after Tuesday’s win.

“Brookeborough always present a challenge with it being a local derby, so, we were pleased to get the win.

"Like always there’s a couple of things we will take with us to learn for the next day out but there were plenty of positives too.”

Brookeborough manager Donal Boyle said after the game: “We had a poor first half although they were very strong, we managed to put it up to them after that and were far better in the second half.”

Tempo led 1-14 to a single score at the interval as McStravick grabbed the opening goal alongside points from him, Aidan Breen, Conor McNally and Darragh McCaffrey.

Breen and Caolan Corry netted in the second half as they pushed further ahead through points coming from Ryan Breen, Ben Warnock, McStravick and McNally.

A Conor Howell free was Brookeborough’s only score in the first-half but they hit 2-03 in the second 30 minutes as Howell and Paddy Woods found the net with points from Rory Greene and Tommy McCaffrey.

In their other game, McStravick fisted home Tempo’s goal against Lisnaskea on Friday and he tied the game at 1-09 apiece heading into the closing stages before Niall McElroy, Oisin Murphy and Aidan Breen hit the final scores of the game to win by three.
