Recent recipients include rowers Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney as they represent Ireland at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

The Fermanagh Super Cup NI used its grant for pitch hire/rent of facilities, equipment, and travel costs, whereas golfer Rory Browne and runner Frank Buchanan used their grants for the procurement of equipment and competition costs.

The Enniskillen Running Club and Sliagh Beagh Youth Arts were also beneficiaries, applying their grants towards equipment and their Community Arts Programme, respectively.

James Cooper, chairman of the Fermanagh Recreational Trust, said: “Sport, music and the arts play such a vital role in developing our young people and bringing communities together.

“It is so important we support and nurture our home-grown talent because with their determination they will be able to achieve even more and become great ambassadors for the county.

“We are proud to have supported numerous organisations and individuals over the years who have went on to have high-profile successes.

“With ever-rising costs of taking part in activities, we are pleased to be in a position to support our young people and local sports organisations.

“If you think we can help, do get in touch.”

The Trust’s support extends across diverse areas, including equipment and course provision, training, development of facilities, contribution towards training or training costs, and hosting events beneficial to youngsters.
