Coa 0-04 Teemore 3-10

Teemore stayed in the hunt for promotion with a 3-10 to 0-04 win over Coa as Colm McNally, Eoin McManus and Ruairi Maguire all found the net for the Shamrocks.

Manager Tony Collins was pleased to see his side record a sixth win from seven as they maintained their unbeaten league campaign: “I thought Coa were well set-up, it was a tough enough battle in the first-half.

"I suppose the goals knocked the stuffing out of them a wee bit in the second half and left it a bit easier for ourselves. They are a physically big team, and it was a good run out for us.”

Colm McNally fisted in the opening goal in the first-half as Eoin McManus kicked two frees and one from play with Ronan McCaffrey, Rian McNally and Sean McNally all tagging on points.

Caoilte Farry split the posts twice for the O’Dwyers and Darragh Murphy and Ben Thompson both pointed to make the halftime score 1-06 to 0-04.

Eoin McManus added 1-02 in the second half as he drove the ball into the net off the ground.

McCaffrey and Sean McNally added another two points to their tally’s with Ruairi Maguire also finding his side’s third goal when the Coa goalkeeper gifted him possession.

Teemore face up Aghadrumsee on Friday at home as they look to continue their form.

“Aghadrumsee are going strong, they had a couple of good results there, I know they were beat by Donagh, but they have been going well and had a win against ‘Newtown, so, they will be up for it, I’m sure,” Collins added.

Meanwhile, Coa travel to Brookeborough as they look to avoid a defeat that would see them drop into bottom-place.

“Massive game for both clubs whoever loses finishes bottom of the league and whoever wins gets a massive boost going into the championship with a win under their belt,” said Coa player/manager Gary Lynch.
