Supporters of Ireland rowing duo Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney were out in full force on Sunday as the pair clinched a semi-final spot at the Olympics in Paris.
Enniskillen Royal Boat Club saw members gather for the 10am start to cheer on two of their former stars while family and friends also gathered at Roches Bar in Kinawley.
Fermanagh’s aspiring young rowers watched on from the boat club down at Portora with a handful of its members also set to make their way to Paris this week to cheer on the two lads.
Friends and family of the boys also made their way into Roches Bar, in Ross’ hometown of Kinawley, with shouts of joy and support as Ireland pushed in a frantic final 500m and managed to catch up with Spain, New Zealand and Switzerland as they just pipped the latter to third spot and an automatic place in Wednesday’s semi-final.
