Enniskillen Cricket Club left it late last Saturday to snatch a draw from their trip to Fullerton Park, Dunmurry on Saturday to take on BMA 2s in a return to league action in Section 10 of the NCU.

After another topsy-turvy game where momentum swung first one way and then the other the result came down for unbelievably the third time this season to the last ball of the match.

Enniskillen skipper Stephen Maxwell won the toss and put BMA into bat. Enniskillen were on top, producing yet another excellent bowling and fielding display to bowl their opponents out for 97 in only 18 overs.

Star of the show with the ball was Bibin Tommy who returned the remarkable figures of five wickets for only 10 runs backed up by another superb catching display with every chance offered taken and a smart run out as well.

Other Enniskillen bowlers Kenny Maxwell, Thuwan Puthra, Devin Carrihill and Darshan Nair chipped in with a wicket apiece and the skipper Maxwell would have been extremely satisfied with the all-round effort and commitment shown.

98 to win in 25 overs seemed like a target well within the Enniskillen batsmen's capabilities and although the skipper went early on, Aby Theckanath and Devin Carrihill then took the score up to 53 for 1 with seemingly all in control.

The BMA bowling was accurate however and whilst the run rate never got to unmanageable proportions it began to creep up, and like last week against Ardent Blues the Enniskillen found themselves from being in a comfortable position to one where they slumped to 68 for 7 and in danger of throwing all the earlier good work away for a second week in a row.

However, Bibin Tommy hadn't finished his influence on the game quite yet and along with Brian Carrihill and Lloyd Clopp inched the score up to where Enniskillen needed nine runs to win off the last over.

When only two singles were scored off the first five balls all seemed lost and the match seemed destined to be lost in agonising circumstances again.

But Tommy smashed the last ball for a huge straight six which resulted in the match being tied and a share of the points for both teams.

Speaking after the game, a club spokesperson said: " We don't like to make things easy for ourselves. What a nerve-jangling match and we can look at it like two points dropped but from another perspective two points gained as we were dead and buried at 68/7 and the lower order showed remarkable resilience to pull it out of the fire. What a contribution from Bibin with both ball and bat. Congratulations to him."

Next up for Enniskillen is a double header this weekend against North Down 4s at home on Saturday followed by a difficult trip to league leaders Dunmurry 4s on Sunday.
