Ballinamallard will host the highly anticipated Honda CBX Euro Rally this year, for its 32nd anniversary.
CBX motorcycles and people from all over the world will make their way to Fermanagh for the event from August 15 to 18.
The same village hosted the event back in 2015 where a record turnout was recorded with over 220 people and 124 CBX motorcycles appearing at a memorable occasion.
While numbers aren’t expected to be as large this month, the rally is expecting over 100 visitors to Ballinamallard with the PSNI aiding in the event's two stunning ride-outs.
The Honda CBX 1000 was built in the late 1970s, it was a standout design from the Honda Motor Corporation and one that hasn’t been matched since, with some bikes being sold for over £20,000.
The CBX has a 1000 cc six-cylinder engine with six carburettors pumping out 105 bhp. No other manufacturer has created a six-cylinder bike with six carbs.
One of the event’s organisers Ray Inskipp is from the UK CBX Riders Club and bought his CBX for £2,750 back in 1979, however, the bike’s popularity has skyrocketed since then with many models on display at Ferney Park in Ballinamallard, as people with any interest in bikes are all encouraged and welcomed to show up and watch the event unfold.
