Nine teams will battle it out in a search for a path away from Division Three in the 2024/25 Fermanagh and Western campaign.

Ballinamallard United Reserves left little in their wake last season, as they made their return to the league set-up, gaining promotion to Division Two going unbeaten and recording some impressive wins en route to the title.

Newtownstewart United joined Ballinamallard in ascending out from the basement division after winning 11 of their 16 matches.

Drumquin United finished five points behind second-place Newtownstewart and will be hoping they can add a few more wins to their record this season as they push for a promotion spot.

Enniskillen Galaxy will be eager to return to Division Two after they were unable to land promotion last season and will be favourites to do so, alongside Drumquin and Fintona Swifts.

Christopher Corrigan has taken over at Galaxy, following the departure of Daniel McIntyre who has joined Enniskillen Town as Ryan Hanna’s assistant manager.

Galaxy face St. Patrick’s in their opening league fixture this weekend as Corrigan aims to make a winning start to his tenure.

“Following the departure of Dano from Galaxy, I was given the opportunity to manage the club for the coming season, and it was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up," he said.

"The club is in a brilliant position to push forward and I’m hoping to build on that great foundation.

"We have recruited well in the summer with a good mix of youth and experience to add to the squad we already have.

"The key players for us this season I’m sure will be the likes of Gavin McGinn, Eamon McCaffery, Daryl Kelly and of course, Billy McCann whose goals will hopefully push us towards promotion.

"Galaxy are a great club and have a lot of great people involved. We will do everything we can to make sure Galaxy are playing Division Two football next year.”

A youthful Fivemiletown United Development side displayed some impressive football at times last year.

They were joined by St. Patrick’s and Dunbreen Rovers in a mid-table finish as all three sides aim to push on from last year.

Maguiresbridge and Fintona Swifts are new entries in Division Three after relegation last season, but ‘Bridge boss Simon McCusker isn’t hoping to stick around for long.

“Goalkeeper Dale Little has signed from Lisbellaw and is a signing we badly needed," McCusker said.

"Shane Ingram is back with us this year. All the rest of the boys have committed again and we have brought through a few young boys.

"Our key players are the likes of Elliot Morrison, having been nominated for the Division Two Team of the Year twice in the last two years.

"Shane O’Neill is another with his smartness in the final third and we are hoping Shane Ingram can hit the ground running.

"Our hopes are to push for promotion, however, we have a big rebuild at the minute as we try to bed in younger lads into the first team.

"I’d imagine Galaxy and Fintona will be up there, but we just have to worry about ourselves.”

Enniskillen Rovers will be targeting an improvement from last year after losing all 16 of their league games at the foot of the table.

Lisnarick finished a spot above them as new boss Thomas Britton looks for a higher finish.

"The goal for this season was to be competitive and steady the ship a bit after last season, we lost a lot of games we should have won,” Britton said.

“Confidence was on the floor and big worry if we would have a team at all with so many lads leaving.

"But we've steadied up now and kept our club stalwarts in Bob Kilpatrick and Peter Law. I've brought in a few lads and one in particular is Ciaran Barry, he's been a breath of fresh air and has lifted morale.

"I've promoted a few lads from the reserve team, Shaun Robinson in particular has been putting a shift in. We are waiting on a few lads to finish up with Gaelic, they'll be a timely boost as the season progresses.”
